In The Beginning

Mea e 'ai e tatau ma le aso
"For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:"  Colossians 1:16

The doctrine of creation, a literal six-day creation, is the foundation of all our Christian beliefs.  For without it, we have no origins or starting point to build our Christian faith. The "Darwin atheistic evolutionary theory" in contrast, where all things came to by chance, is gaining more and more scientific popularity as we begin the new year.

The bible presents a creation that was planned, a thoughtful intelligent design, calculated, with nothing left to chance.  In contrast, the evolutionary theory is all by chance (Big Bang).  This theory has dangerously been taught to our children in schools), and have even gained acceptance by the "Pope" of Rome

Second, in the biblical account, everything was created for a purpose; God has a Master plan and an end goal.  In contrast, evolution works on the premise that there is no final goal, no purpose-driven force motivating what’s created.  Random mutation and natural selection (products of chance) work together blindly, keeping what works and discarding what doesn’t.(survival of the most fit)  I ask you, where is the love?

The biblical account teaches that humans were made with love in the image of God and that the earth is 6,000 years old.  Evolution teaches that they were made in the image of whatever primate just happened to precede homo sapiens.  Or in simpler terms according to this evolutionary theory, humans were gradual descendants of monkeys processed through earth that is millions of years revolving without the miracles of a creating God. “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God’” Psalms 14:1

The book of Genesis 1:2,  provides the introductory on which God’s masterpieces was organized: “The earth was without form and void.” The first three days He “forms” what was “unformed.” The next three days He “fills” what had been “void” or empty.   In other words, the light that was created on day one is filled or completed on day four with the great lights of the sun and moon (and “the stars also,” Gen. 1:16).
The air and water that had been the focus on day two are filled up with the birds and water creatures on day five (Gen. 1:6–8, 20–23). The dry land separated from the waters and then filled with vegetation on day three (Gen. 1:9–13) was completed with the land animals along with humans on day six. Finally, all was pronounced “very good” and then celebrated as a memorial on the seventh day by God Himself (Gen. 2:1–3).

The point is, nothing in these texts leaves anything left to chance.  Everything was meticulously worked out and masterfully designed by God. "...The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork...Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge."  Psalms 19:1,2

The whole Christian hope and its foundation rests on the belief in creation, the entrance of sin to scar it, and the promise of re-creation of a new earth.  A heaven and earth without the ugly devastation of sin.  As we start this new year, let us be reminded of His plan of salvation and the re-newed promises of hope. Let us be steadfast in our beliefs with assurance, that  "God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him’ Genesis 1:27.”

And may you faithfully answer, when God asked, "...Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understandingJob 38:4  God's promises are true and real, unlike the evolutionist, for without any hope of this promise, we literally will have no hope at all.
